Mervin was a student in Anglo-Chinese Junior College. During his college life, Mervin participates enthusiastically in the college activities and strives to do the best he can. The events he participated in has provided him a platform to hone his leadership, organisational and communication skills.
As the CIP Representative for his class, he initiated, organised and managed an Overseas CIP Project (OCIP) – Batam Build for his class. He frequently volunteered in Meet-the-People (MPS) sessions. Additionally, he led in a team in constructing a Singapore flag on a mobile float out of aluminium cans which was featured in the Youth X’travaganza at Ulu-Pandan CC.
The deep insights gleaned from his active participation in community service projects has spurred him to give back to the community. He hopes to contribute by applying his expertise in using online media tools to engage the community.
