“Don’t let pleasures of the present take advantage of your future.” This motto keeps Jun Xiong going whenever he feels like slacking with his friends. He knows that education is the one and only way he can break out of the poverty cycle and become something useful to the society. Jun Xiong was a student of Nan Chiau High School and is currently a student of Victoria Junior College. He loves to run on the field in front of Ci Yuan CC when he is free and does not believe that Nike or Adidas running shoes can make you run faster. To help the poor and the disadvantaged of the community, he decided to join Ci Yuan YEC to learn the ropes, especially in the area of people and organizational skills, from the senior members of YEC. Making friends, as well as searching for a role model, is also one of his main aims for joining the YEC. He aspires to heal the growing divide between the poor and the rich in greater ways in the future.
