Ci Yuan CC YEC has grown to become one of the most active grassroots organizations in Ang Mo Kio- Hougang Constituency.
Over the past two years, the 6th term Ci Yuan Community Centre Youth Executive Committee (YEC) has done very well in engaging both the young and young at heart.
I wish to congratulate the YEC team for successfully organizing many activities and programmes including EnvirOlympics Challenge and Water Conservation Project to promote greater youth involvement for better living environment and social cohesion.
Besides the recognition and accolades given by respective government agencies, the YEC has done an outstanding job in working with various community partners. The “Mental Health Advocate”, where they worked with Silver Ribbon Singapore is one good example. Young volunteers were trained to become Mental Wellness advocates, and help to dispel misconceptions about mental health patients in Singapore.
As we are transiting towards a new chapter with a new Community Club in the pipeline, I am confident that Ci Yuan CC YEC will continue to progress to greater heights and bring many more interesting programmes to our residents.
